Exhibit preparation still moves among PDF tools, manual numbering, and separate index notes. The beta is testing one focused workflow without bypassing review, filing, or agency requirements.

What the private beta is validating.

  • Flattened PDF output under test

    The private beta is testing marks drawn into PDF page content instead of movable annotations. Testers still review every exported file before filing, service, or delivery.

  • Local-first processing

    The beta direction keeps PDF reading, marking, and writing on the tester’s computer. Invite terms will disclose any diagnostics or support data before a file is provided.

  • Case series tracking

    Testing covers remembered exhibit series across sessions, including numbers, letters, and prefixes. Recovery and conflict behavior remain part of beta validation.

  • Duplicate checks

    The beta evaluates document fingerprints that can help identify a previously marked file. Testers confirm the proposed match before reusing an exhibit number.

  • macOS and Windows beta

    Invited builds target macOS and Windows. Signed public installers, final system requirements, and a supported-platform commitment are not published yet.

  • Reviewable exhibit logs

    The beta is testing a per-matter log with file, caption, mark time, and CSV export. Reporters remain responsible for the final exhibit index and record workflow.

A review-first beta workflow.

  1. Open a supported test PDF

    Invited testers receive the current input requirements before using a matter file. The file stays inside the disclosed beta handling boundary.

  2. Place and review the mark

    The beta proposes a series number and places the selected label. The tester checks placement, caption, party convention, and numbering.

  3. Export and inspect

    The tester opens the exported PDF in the normal review workflow and confirms the exhibit log before any filing, service, or delivery.
